If you do not trust the modern medications as developed by the pharmaceutical industry, you can choose between a wide range of herbal remedies. None of them will require a prescription; all will be available in specialized online stores and many even at your next pharmacy. For external application best suited are cayenne pepper and essential peppermint oil - both have strong anti-inflammatory, heating and painkilling properties. Peppermint oil has for centuries been in use against sciatica pain in the Western world, whereas cayenne pepper was just in recent decades discovered as a perfectly effective remedy. For internal application best suited would be Devil’s claw, which is anti-inflammatory and analgesic at the same time. Devil’s claw is an old tribal remedy from Africa that today is also widely recognized among western doctors. If you are however just looking for a strong painkiller you might want to go for either Kratom or white willow bark extract. Kratom is a traditional analgesic from South East Asia, whereas white willow bark extract can be considered the mother of all painkillers: Aspirin is based on it. |
